![]() ![]() Overall, I think that Apple Music can be a deal for you if you prefer library over playlists all over the place, sound quality, etc… I cannot tell you about your question with the Apple Watch because I do not own one. If you remove an album from your library, every song from that album will be removed from your playlists! Also, you cannot sort playlists to your liking (it’ll added in iOS 16 though!) Sometimes, using Apple Music is a struggle: Don’t you dare adding an album by mistake in your library. No Spotify Connect alternatives, Handoff isn’t in Apple Music, so you cannot control your music from your iPad (for example) to your phone and connect to Chromecast-compatible devices, only Airplay, which I don’t mind since I own an Apple TV, but can bother you if you use one of those. On iOS, we are missing crossfade, which is a bummer. Also, no « discover weekly » or playlists like that (or at least I didn’t find it). For that, you need to click on « like this song » everytime you enjoy a song to build up your recommandations. The overall interface of Apple Music is more pleasing, we know Apple loves having an uncluttered interface, real-time lyrics is a blast (and way better than Spotify’s because you can click on a lyric to go to the moment where the lyric is sung, rounded corners for album covers, I do find it better than SpotifyĬons: -The algorithm is hit or miss, some find what they want with their personal radios, while other struggle to have radios that suit their taste. ![]() Use of library, in Spotify, I’ve nearly never touched my library and in Apple Music, library is the main part, and with that you can actually have a place for your music, it feels way more organized. Dolby Atmos is hit or miss: some tracks sound amazing whether with fixed spatial audio or head-tracking spatial audio, but some just doesn’t sound that great imo. Pros: -Sound quality, I don’t stream in lossless as I mostly use bluetooth devices when playing music, but songs feel way more clear and detailed. ![]() I feel like this subreddit is flooded with those questions, but i’ma answer it anyway :) It’s been one year since I’ve made the switch from 2 years onto Spotify, and this is what my thoughts are: ![]()
